We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead and drive our HSEQ strategy and compliance framework across the business.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the HSEQ Manager will be responsible for providing advice, guidance and leadership direction on all matters relating to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality. This is a key leadership role within the Business Support function, ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance while supporting projects, offshore operations and senior management.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Business management system
    Maintain, review and continuously improve the Business Management System. Ensure offshore HSE cases, written schemes, procedures, registers and supporting documentation remain current, compliant and effective.
  • HSEQ leadership and reporting
    Provide proactive HSEQ support across the organisation. Prepare, analyse and present HSEQ performance reports, trends and risk indicators to support informed decision-making.
  • Incident and non-conformance management
    Lead or support investigations into incidents, near misses and undesired events. Ensure root cause analysis is completed and corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to closure.
  • Audit and assurance
    Plan and conduct internal audits of the Business Management System and operational systems. Support external audits and inspections, addressing fatigue and driving continuous improvement.
  • Crisis and emergency response
    Fulfil a designated role within the Amplus Crisis Response System. Participate in crisis response planning, exercises and post incident reviews to maintain preparedness and resilience.
  • Regulatory and statutory responsibilities
    When required, act as designated person ashore and company security officer, ensuring compliance with applicable maritime, security and regulatory frameworks.
  • Offshore training and competency
    Work with HR to develop and maintain offshore training and competency markets
  • Data protection and cyber security
    Support data protection governance processes and contribute to cyber security accreditation maintenance, risk assessments and continual improvement initiatives.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

  • Strong knowledge of UK offshore and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience managing and improving business management systems
  • Proven incident investigation and audit experience
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior leadership, offshore teams and clients
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability
