Start with the field, not the vessel
A redeployable FPSO needs to fit more than the production requirement.
Amplus considers the reserves, field life, location, operating requirements, schedule and project economics before assessing the available FPSO market.
Our independent position means we are not tied to a particular vessel or vessel sale. We assess the options objectively and recommend the asset that best fits the development.

Amplus acquired the Petrojarl I FPSO in 2025 and appointed Astican Shipyard in Las Palmas to deliver a multi-million-dollar reactivation and readiness programme ahead of redeployment.
Amplus led the ownership transition, coordinating class, flag, vendors and delivery partners. It appointed V.Ships Offshore to provide vessel management and crewing, prepare and oversee the shipyard work scope and support future deployment and operations.
Amplus structured the refurbishment around a phased approach, progressing essential work during the yard phase and reserving deployment-specific modifications until the field requirements were defined.
This focuses investment where it adds most value and supports a faster, lower-cost route back to production without compromising asset integrity.
Amplus later transferred ownership of Petrojarl I to Finder Energy as part of a strategic partnership, while retaining a long-term role across FEED, field deployment, operations, maintenance, conversion and life-extension work.
