FPSO redeployment
We identify and assess available FPSOs, recommend the most suitable option and define the work required to reactivate, upgrade and deploy it.
Amplus can manage vessel procurement, asset transition, lay-up, dry-dock work, refurbishment, modifications, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
Vessel Conversion
When no suitable FPSO is available, a donor vessel can provide a lower-cost route to production.
We develop conversion concepts and can manage conversion, installation, hook-up & commissioning and operations and maintenance for moored FPSOs and FPUs, including drillship-based solutions tailored to the field requirements.
New-build VPU
The Amplus Versatile Production Unit (VPU) provides a scalable new-build option for early production, marginal developments and full-field applications.
Its modular design allows us to configure production, storage and station-keeping capabilities around the needs of the field.
Amplus can deliver EPC of your new-build VPU along with hook-up, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
Start with the field, not the vessel
The wrong FPSO or commercial model can make a viable discovery uneconomic.
Amplus considers reserves, location, schedule, operating requirements and expected field life before defining the best-fit vessel, delivery and commercial model.
Our advice is independent. We are not tied to a vessel sale.
Our lean approach is designed to reduce capital and operating costs, shorten the route to production and make challenging developments commercially viable.
Commercial thinking from the outset
Technical feasibility alone does not make a development viable.
We develop the ownership, financing and operating model alongside the technical solution.
For suitable projects, Amplus can own or lease the vessel, invest in the development, take an equity interest or agree performance-linked terms. We can also connect field developers with established finance providers.
These options can reduce upfront capital requirements, share risk and align Amplus’s commercial interests with the success of the development.
