- The original ownership, charter or operating model may no longer be economic.

For late life situations the ownership or operating arrangement established at the start of a field may no longer work as production declines. High charter rates, rising costs or the end of a contract term can bring an otherwise productive field closer to cessation.
Some clients reach this point without the in-house team, capability or capacity to build and run a mid or late-life operations and maintenance strategy on their own.
Amplus assesses the available options, develops a lower-cost model for the next phase of the asset and can offer cost efficient late life operations and maintenance services.
For new field developments Amplus’ flexible commercial solutions can own, and/ or operate and maintain the FPSO.
Flexible ownership structures
Amplus develops ownership and commercial structures around the needs of the asset and the project.
We favour straightforward arrangements that align ownership, investment and operations around the remaining field opportunity.
These may include:
- Full or shared FPSO ownership
- Vessel leasing through a day-rate model
- Funding of agreed redeployment or upgrade costs
- Investment in the field or development company
- Equity or performance-linked arrangements
Where required, we can also help clients access established finance providers and structure external capital around the asset and project.

Our team brings direct experience of operating, maintaining and improving FPSOs at all stages, including through mid and late life.
We focus on safe operations, production performance, asset integrity and disciplined cost management.

Amplus can manage the FPSO through lay-up, upgrading, reactivation, transfer and redeployment, helping clients preserve asset value and prepare for its next phase.
