Full-scale carbon capture and sequestration

Amplus and Carbon Circle conducted a Pre-FEED study on the design of a complete FPSO process and utility topside, including facilities for full-scale post-combustion carbon capture, CO2 conditioning and reinjection.

If progressed, the project will be the world’s first full-scale post-combustion CCS system implemented on an FPSO. It involves the revitalisation of an oil and gas field and includes the conversion of a last-generation drillship with a robust hull design. Captured CO₂ will be conditioned and reinjected for permanent sequestration.
